Scion was founded by the late Ramesh Rao. Ramesh was involved over the years in giving distinct and original voice to several well-known brands like Indian Terrain, Café Coffee Day, Gowardhan Dairy, Dark Forest, Arjuna Extracts, Citibank Shelters, Mandala Valley, and Autoline, among others.
Ramesh’s in-depth understanding and unique insights have lent exceptional clarity to brand strategy approaches especially brand incubation. His interest in the underlying business environment in which a brand operates helped create strategic approaches that enhanced brand equity and ROI for clients – in sectors as diverse as Finance, Pharmaceuticals and Hospitality, to Food and Beverages.
Ramesh’s vision continues to guide and enrich Scion and its clients.
Priya Rao worked as a copywriter, a university lecturer and an editor before joining Fabindia. She has headed many of Fabindia’s divisions and initiatives: its southern operations, the product selection team, the customer experience division, and all-India marketing initiatives.
Scion’s clients benefit richly from Priya’s experience in enterprise planning, growth management, MIS, strategic advisory, and marketing & promotions.
Priya is deeply interested in product design. Her favourite haunts are the chessboard, art galleries and movie halls that play vintage films.
